Scott is one of Australia’s most experienced marketing and customer strategy leaders, with a track record leading business growth across a broad array of cultures and product & service categories. Scott has worked on over a hundred products and brands, across many industries.Along the way, he has managed hundreds of research studies and thousands of communications pieces and has developed a high level of skill in strategic marketing. Having worked with many diverse marketing cultures he is also highly adaptable.

He has worked at leading companies Coca Cola, Ford, Ogilvy & Mather and National Australia Bank, including 12 years in global and regional marketing, strategy and general management.  Today he leads The Customer Champion, a marketing consulting firm that helps clients grow through more insightful and impactful customer and marketing strategy.

Scotts key corporate roles were Group Director Worldwide Marketing Strategy Coca Cola, based in Atlanta and Director Strategy Ford South America, with responsibility for Export, Direct Markets and Product Planning, based in Sao Paulo. There he was part of the team that turned Ford around after 16 successive years of losses.Most recently Scott spent 4 years as GM Marketing at NAB Wealth. There he was charged with building the Marketing function, leading a team of 95 and was the executive sponsor of efforts to bring the customer to the heart of MLC. Today Scott leads “The Customer Champion”, in helping client companies grow through customer and marketing strategy. Scott is also a Director of Streetwork, a charity that targets youth at risk and through mentoring support, helps them get their lives back on track.

Roger Harris has over 20 years of market research experience including positions as the National Director Ipsos Insight and Director Research & Business Strategy at Ipsos Insight. Roger combines advanced analysis and design skills and commercial awareness to deliver clear strategic solutions. Roger consults to the Customer Champion.

Examples from the last few years include: values based and attitude based segmentations of the wealth management market (superannuation, insurance, investments) both for the broader population and for high nett worth individuals; financial advisers; shopper based segmentations in dairy, cheese, hair care, meal preparation products and clothes; holiday’s (cruising); still wine; sparkling wine; technology adoption (published in Digital Nation by the Australian Interactive Media Association); weight control; baby care; stopping smoking; health and wellness.Roger is a QPMR with the AMSRS.

Quoted in Australia’s most popular MBA text on the subject of incentive systems and team performance.James holds an MSc from UTS and is a Registered Peer of the Australia Council for the Arts (in digital media), MACS.
